OOC Info and Rules for RP

  • I'm 25+, very happily married, and absolutely not interested in any IRL relationships beyond friendships. I expect my RP partners to be at least 21+ IC and OOC, and to respect my personal boundaries, and I will of course respect yours.

  • I am LGBTQIA+, and I do not tolerate any form of homophobia, transphobia, xenophobia, etc., or the fetishization of gender identities, IC or OOC. No exceptions.

  • I am very serious about the separation between IC and OOC. I am not Kirimaru, Kirimaru is not me. Anything Kirimaru thinks or does is not indicative of my own actions or feelings. Please don't blur that line!

  • COMMUNICATION IS KEY. I cannot stress this enough, please please please communicate with me. If something my character does bothers you, tell me. If a fight happens, or a scene is headed to ERP, or you just aren't sure about something, let's talk about it! My feelings won't be hurt, I'd rather discuss things and make sure we're on the same page.

  • Please no god-modding, metagaming, or trying to do anything to/changing anything about my character without my permission. Respect is a two way street!

  • Most if not all of my RP is done in-game, it's just better for immersion and focus for me. I'll do RP through discord for certain situations and I'll do my best to be flexible, but if RP happens over discord for any reason, please understand that replies might be a bit slower, but I will do my best to reply in a timely fashion!

  • I prefer to do one on one RP's as it's easier for me to keep track of things. I am alright with group RP's, but it's typically harder for me to reply if I'm having to keep track of several characters talking to mine at once, so I'll be much slower in those scenarios. Please plan these carefully with me!

  • I will warn you now, I am a multi-para writer, I can and often write a LOT in my replies, and I know that can be intimidating! I do prefer para/multi-para writers, but I absolutely do not expect you to match my writing entirely! As long as our styles vibe, all will be fine!

Biography

Nestled within the Fanged Crescent mountains of western Yanxia resides the village of Tsukiakari, where Lupin and Hyur live seemingly peacefully together. For generations, this village has worshipped the Kami of the Moon, Tsukuyomi, and guarded a sacred shrine there. Leaders are priests or priestesses, the village chief typically being the strongest of them thought to be chosen by the will of Tsukuyomi through sacred rituals.Once every 100 years, a child is born with a particularly powerful affinity for the moon and it's associated elements. This child is taught that they are a blessing from Tsukuyomi, and thus the child is given the title 'Tsuki no Seirei' and is treated as the voice of the Kami. However, there is a hidden truth that only those priests and priestess' know of...Kirimaru is not only a rare birth between Lupin and Hyur, but has also been born as the newest Tsuki no Seirei, a vessel 'designed' to protect Tsukuyomi's children from harm by any means necessary. In order to keep him pure and under control, he was forced to live alone within a shrine, blind to what he truly was, his only company being his mother who would sneak in to keep him from becoming lonely. As much as he wanted to see the world outside the walls of his shrine, he was happy enough just having his mother. However, fate was ever a cruel mistress, and the truth of his existence would come sooner than expected. It came in the form of a transformation at the tender age of 16, one that would see him kill the only one who saw him as a person. Traumatized, Kirimaru managed to escape his father and the others and fled into the surrounding forests, never stopping until he no longer heard their shouts echoing in the distance.Given no time to rest for the next 10 summers, Kirimaru has wandered from place to place, searching for understanding of the curse upon him while trying to hide from the various people his father has hired to retrieve him. He takes on mercenary work and under-the-table hunting jobs of all kinds to provide for himself and fund his search, in hopes that one day he will be free... or dead.

Plot Hooks and Ideas

  • Kirimaru generally tries his best to keep to the darkened corners of the world in order to hide what he is as well as keeping out of the sights of those pursuing him. Before taking up with Ikigai, he took on various jobs involving tracking, covert murder, and drug trading. Nowadays, he not only serves as the right hand of Ikigai's Celestaux, but has branched out to operate his own group, Norainu, under the guise of the Silver Moon Lounge.

  • If you've got a keen sense for aether, meeting Kiri might be a bit of a strange assault on the senses. It almost seems like he's got two souls within him--dual-toned like his hair and fur--yet not quite two distinct souls. At the same time, his aether carries a similar signature to those who have been tempered by Primals, yet again, it is not quite like that, either. All of this, and the intensity also seems to fluctuate at very specific times... Good luck getting him to talk about it, though.

  • Despite working to hide what he is, Kiri has reached a point where he no longer sees a possibility of ridding himself of whatever this thing residing within him is. Now, his focus is on figuring out what it is and how to tame it and control it. While he is generally a rather antisocial person, if you offer even the slightest hope of him achieving this goal, he might be more inclined to speak to you.

Kiri would do anything to protect his Sunlight, and strives to keep him from falling into the darker sides of the world.
